A military helicopter from the Northwestern Command headquarters based in Monywa, Sagaing Region, crashed due to strong winds, leading to the capture of two soldiers by revolutionary forces. On April 28 at 8:24 PM, two helicopters took off from the Northwestern Command headquarters with the intention of bombing civilian areas. While one helicopter managed to return to the military base’s football field, the other was carried away by strong winds along the Chindwin River.

The revolutionary groups are currently conducting searches to secure any weapons and ammunition from the captured soldiers. The abandoned helicopter crashed on the eastern bank of the Chindwin River in Chaung-U Township area, according to confirmation from revolutionary forces.
