
In Kyoe Ko Pin village of Htone Bo Township, Bago Region, the military forces conducted a raid on July 22nd, burning down seven houses and arresting seven civilians, according to local residents. During this incident, the military forces systematically destroyed homes within the village and deliberately damaged residents’ personal property. The military forces stationed in the village initially detained five villagers to use as human shields and subsequently arrested two more residents.
According to a local resident, the military forces began burning houses in the evening of July 22nd. The arson attacks resulted in the complete destruction of seven homes and significant loss of villagers’ personal belongings. The military forces ransacked the village, causing extensive damage to civilian property and creating an atmosphere of terror among the local population. The destructive actions of the military forces have left several families homeless and without their possessions.
Revolutionary forces launched consecutive attacks against the military forces on July 22nd and 23rd. Following significant casualties, the military forces retreated from the village around 3 PM on July 23rd. During the engagement, revolutionary forces seized various military equipment including 40 G-3 bullets, one 60mm mortar shell, two inaka bombs, one hand grenade, military uniforms, four mobile phones, and one motorcycle. The seizure of these military items represents a significant loss for the retreating military forces and demonstrates the effectiveness of the resistance operations in the area.
