The terrorist military council has begun using a national database system to identify and arrest military deserters, police deserters, civil servants, and political activists across the country, according to military sources in Naypyidaw. The system reportedly collects personal information including national ID data, family registration records, residential addresses, and photographic records to track individuals.
In Nga Tharauk sub-township of Nyaung-U Township, Mandalay Region, revolutionary forces successfully attacked and destroyed an entire military council column. When additional military council forces entered Nyaung-U Township afterwards, joint revolutionary forces launched another interceptive attack that killed 5 military council soldiers, as confirmed by the Bagan Byoe Kyaw group. Weapons and ammunition were also seized during the battle.
Additionally, in Taungtha Township of Mandalay Region, the military council conducted an aerial bombing attack using armed helicopters on a Buddhist monastery in Magyipin Tae village, causing severe damage to the monastery buildings. While the military council frequently claims to be protecting Buddhism, in reality they have been actively targeting religious buildings and structures. This incident demonstrates the contrast between their rhetoric of protecting Buddhism and their actual actions of destroying religious sites.
