Military Council Chairman Min Aung Hlaing has promised promotions, medals, and other rewards to military officers and subordinates who can successfully recapture lost territories across Myanmar, according to military sources in Naypyidaw. The council emphasized the urgent need for stability and peace in the country, stressing that military personnel must diligently fulfill their duties. The military leadership has instructed officers and soldiers to perform their duties even at the cost of their lives, particularly emphasizing the importance of reclaiming lost territories.
The military council has also been providing special privileges to air force officers, including enhanced security arrangements for their family members and more spacious accommodation and housing facilities. With plans to hold elections in either December 2025 or early January 2026, there has been increasing pressure on military officers and soldiers to quickly recapture lost territories and cities before the election period. The council has been providing monetary rewards to units that successfully recapture outposts and guard stations, with special bonuses designated for successful military operations.
The military leadership has specifically outlined a reward system that includes promotions, medals, and long-term financial security for those who demonstrate success in military operations. Small outposts and territories that have been recaptured are being met with immediate monetary compensation, while the air force personnel involved in bombing operations are receiving additional financial support. The military council has expanded the scope of support to include comprehensive security measures for family members of air force officers, allowing them to reside within military compounds with improved living conditions and facilities. These incentives are part of a broader strategy to regain control over territories lost during the ongoing conflict, with particular emphasis on achieving these objectives before the planned election period.
