
Intense fighting continues between the terrorist military council forces and the Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) in Naung Cho Township, Shan State. The military council is conducting offensive operations using heavy artillery and drones, causing fear and concern among local residents. The TNLA has reported that battles have escalated in six villages within Naung Cho Township, including Kyauk Kham, Kyauk Taw, Nam Pa Tak, Kyauk Pyut, Na Mun, and Ye Maung Tan villages.
On July 10, during the battle in Kyauk Kham village, the military council forces launched 17 drone strikes. Additionally, they attacked Ye Maung Tan village with 50 artillery shells and 10 drone bombs. The military council also fired 12 artillery shells between Na Mun and Ye Maung Tan villages, and another 10 artillery shells toward Kyauk Pyut village. These aggressive attacks have forced many civilians to flee their homes and seek safety elsewhere.
On July 9, fighting continued in Kyauk Kham, Naung Lin, Kyauk Taw, Umm Kha, Na Mun, and Ye Maung Tan villages, with the military council forces firing 132 artillery shells and dropping 50 drone bombs. The military council’s intensive use of heavy weapons and drones has created a severe humanitarian crisis, with local residents facing immediate threats to their lives and being forced to abandon their homes and communities.
The TNLA has issued warnings to civilians to remain vigilant against the military council’s attacks and to follow air defense guidelines to protect themselves from aerial attacks. As the military council’s offensive operations are expected to intensify, local residents are advised to take extra precautions for their safety. The ongoing conflict has highlighted the military council’s continued use of excessive force against both armed resistance groups and civilian populations, causing widespread displacement and humanitarian concerns in the region.
