
A representative from the Urban Special Operation (U.S.O) has confirmed that the Military Council’s Defense Products Factory No. 11 (DPF-11) in Htaikkyi Township, Yangon Region, was attacked with three long-range missiles. The attack was carried out at 9:50 PM on April 4, 2024, targeting the facility that produces and supplies weapons, ammunition, and military equipment components for the military council. The operation was specifically aimed at disrupting the military council’s weapons supply chain.
The attack was conducted in collaboration between the Urban Special Operation forces and Shadow (S.A.F) units. The groups have announced that they will continue to carry out military operations against the military council’s economic assets, affiliated individuals, and organizations in coordination with allied forces. They have designated these military council-related targets as legitimate military objectives in their ongoing operations. Officials have stated that the extent of damage and casualties resulting from the attack has not yet been confirmed.
Local residents in Htaikkyi Township reported hearing three large explosions during the night, and surveillance teams in Yangon confirmed three separate explosions at 9:50 PM. The DPF-11 facility is one of the military council’s key weapons manufacturing plants, serving as a crucial production and supply center for weapons, ammunition, and military equipment components for military council forces. The facility has been identified as a strategic target due to its role in sustaining the military council’s operations through the production of essential military supplies.
