The attack was carried out around midnight on April 25. The assault targeted critical infrastructure within the military facility, with three rockets directly hitting the Primer Workshop, causing explosions and subsequent damage.
During the attack, a chemical storage facility was also hit and caught fire, while a 5,000-gallon fire oil storage tank was destroyed in the ensuing blaze. The attack resulted in severe casualties among the military council personnel, with three officers and twelve soldiers sustaining serious injuries. Among the injured officers, one suffered a severed right ear, another sustained severe injuries to his left calf, and the third received extensive burn injuries across his back. Of the twelve injured soldiers, five succumbed to their injuries, while the survivors and injured officers were evacuated to Military Hospital 16/100 in Magway for emergency medical treatment.
The operation was conducted under the leadership of Brave Warriors for Myanmar (BWM), in collaboration with Shadow (Anyar), No More Dictatorship-NMD, and Eagle Brigade groups. While the actual extent of damage may be greater than currently reported, the resistance forces have only released verified information. The attack represents a significant blow to the military council’s defense manufacturing capabilities in the region, targeting a facility known for producing military equipment and supplies.
The confirmed casualties included only enlisted personnel among the deceased, with no officer fatalities reported. The resistance forces have indicated that while the full extent of the damage may be more substantial than currently documented, they are committed to releasing only verified information to maintain accuracy in their reporting. The attack demonstrates the continued resistance against the military council’s infrastructure and highlights the ongoing conflict between resistance forces and the military regime.
