
The Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) has reported ongoing intense fighting in Naung Cho Township, Shan State, as the terrorist military council continues to launch heavy offensives using airstrikes and artillery. On June 24, battles erupted between several villages including Naung Aw, Letpankone, Shwethon, Myat Chi Nu, Lon San, Kontha, Umma Thi, and Sammase villages. During these clashes, the terrorist military council conducted aerial bombardments dropping 130 bombs, launched 60 drone strikes, and fired 53 artillery shells as supporting fire. In Naung Aw village, continued fighting between the terrorist military forces and TNLA saw the military council launching 42 airstrikes, 21 drone strikes, and firing 17 artillery rounds.
In the fighting between Umma Thi and Sammase villages, the terrorist military deployed 39 drone strikes. During the battle near Lon San village, the military council conducted 47 airstrikes and fired 32 artillery shells. The terrorist forces also targeted Kyauktaw village with 2 airstrikes, Shwethon village with 38 bombs, and Myat Chi Nu village with one airstrike. Additionally, they fired 4 artillery shells toward Umma Khar village. The previous day, on June 23, continued fighting in Naung Cho Township saw the military council firing 122 artillery shells and conducting 47 airstrikes.
The Three Brotherhood Alliance had extended their unilateral ceasefire for another month to allow humanitarian assistance for earthquake victims and continue relief operations in conflict areas. However, the TNLA stated that frequent fighting continues in Naung Cho Township as the terrorist military council takes advantage of this situation to launch continuous offensives. The TNLA has warned civilians to remain vigilant against the military council’s bombardments and to follow proper air raid defense procedures for their safety. The organization emphasized the importance of maintaining military awareness and following air defense guidelines to protect themselves from the ongoing aerial attacks by the terrorist military council.
