
Local residents reported that more than ten houses were destroyed by fire and two civilians were killed by artillery fire when the military council troops burned down Pan Tin Inn village in Longlone Township, Tanintharyi Region. On the morning of July 29, military council troops entered Pan Tin Inn village and systematically burned down civilian homes, resulting in the complete destruction of more than ten houses according to local confirmation.
As the military council troops entered the village, they indiscriminately fired heavy weapons at civilians who were fleeing the conflict, resulting in the death of two innocent civilians and leaving others injured. Additionally, while occupying the village, the military troops took some local residents as human shields, and the exact number and condition of these captured civilians remain unknown according to local sources.
When the military council troops entered Pan Tin Inn village, they encountered resistance from various defense forces including the Dawei Guerrilla Force, Dawei National Liberation Army, Tanintharyi People’s Liberation Force, Dragon Red Guerrilla Force, and local defense forces. During the ensuing battle, more than thirty military council troops were reportedly killed according to battle reports. Currently, as the military council forces are advancing again toward Pan Tin Inn village, local residents are being forced to flee to safety once more.
