
According to a statement released by the Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA), the military council’s forces conducted airstrikes on TNLA-controlled territories in Kyaukme Township, Northern Shan State, resulting in civilian casualties. The military council’s aerial attacks also caused destruction to religious buildings, schools, and civilian homes.
On September 4 at 12:22 PM, the military council forces launched rocket attacks on Pan Tpyai village in Kyaukme Township. The attack resulted in injuries to one woman and damaged four houses and one school building. Earlier that day, at 10:30 AM, the military council conducted an unprovoked airstrike on Pan Kham village in Kyaukme Township, dropping two 250-pound bombs from aircraft. This attack caused damage to pagodas in the village.
Additionally, on September 2, the military council carried out another unprovoked airstrike on Baw Kyo village in Hsipaw Township, dropping two 250-pound bombs. This attack resulted in injuries to one man and destroyed three houses. According to the TNLA statement, the military council’s airstrikes have been specifically targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure rather than military targets.
