The spokesperson for the People’s Defense Force (Mandalay), Ko Aung Mon, has confirmed that seven civilians, including two children, were killed when the terrorist military council conducted airstrikes on Nyaung Pin Thar village and Kyauk Pya village in Sadaung Township, Mandalay Region. The initial airstrike occurred around 12:30 PM on September 13th, when the military forces bombed Nyaung Pin Thar village despite there being no active fighting in the area at the time.
The aerial attack on Nyaung Pin Thar village resulted in the deaths of five civilians, including one child, while another civilian was injured. Later that same day, at approximately 4:00 PM, the military forces launched another series of attacks using a Y-12 aircraft, dropping 40 bombs on villages throughout Sadaung Township. During this evening assault, one child and one woman near Kyauk Pya village were killed, and three other civilians sustained injuries. These attacks demonstrate the military’s continued use of disproportionate force against civilian populations.
While there have been ongoing clashes near Lan Let Kyut village and Ye Pu Chaung village in Sadaung Township, the People’s Defense Force spokesperson emphasized that the military council has been conducting daily airstrikes on numerous villages where no active fighting is taking place. The terrorist military forces continue to threaten and destroy civilian lives, homes, and properties through these aerial attacks, as reported by the People’s Defense Force (Mandalay). These actions reflect the military council’s pattern of using excessive force and targeting civilian areas, causing widespread destruction and loss of life in communities across the region.
