Local residents reported that the military council’s airstrikes on Minteingpin village in Pale Township, Sagaing Region, and the Kamma-Yepa road section in Pakokku Township, Magway Region, resulted in civilian casualties. Between 9:00 AM and 10:30 AM on June 14, the military council conducted four separate airstrikes using fighter jets on Minteingpin village in Pale Township. The attacks resulted in injuries to two villagers and extensive damage to residential buildings, according to local sources who confirmed the incidents.
Houses in the eastern part of Minteingpin village were set ablaze, and one villager was hit by shrapnel, potentially requiring leg amputation. Local residents noted that there was no fighting in the village, suggesting the military council deliberately targeted the area. They speculated that the village might have been targeted because it is the hometown of National League for Democracy parliament member U Zaw Htet. Currently, residents are afraid to extinguish the fires in burning houses due to fears of additional airstrikes.
Additionally, the military council conducted airstrikes along the Kamma-Yepa road section in Pakokku Township, Magway Region. Around 2:00 PM on June 14, two fighter jets carried out airstrikes along the road where the military council’s supply convoy was present. Local sources reported that the military convoy was clearing the route from Division 101 toward PSO-24 in Pauk Township. The airstrikes appeared to be part of an operation to secure the supply route for the military council’s forces.
