The terrorist military forces dropped two bombs using fighter jets on Kanyotin village in the eastern part of Kawlin Township, Sagaing Region. On May 14 at 10:23 PM, a fighter jet from Mandalay’s Tada-U airbase conducted the bombing. Although the bombs did not explode, one directly hit a house causing destruction. According to local residents, one bomb hit U Myint Thein’s house while another landed near the stairs of U Phoe Ni’s house. The attacks targeted civilian homes despite there being no fighting in the area.
Additionally, the military council conducted airstrikes in Mindat Township, Chin State. On May 15 at 9:40 AM, a fighter jet from Meiktila’s Shante airbase arbitrarily bombed a village in Mindat Township. Similarly, in Magway Region’s Gangaw Township, the military council’s air force bombed a school in Lapot village, completely destroying the school building. On May 14 at 11:24 PM, a MiG-29 fighter jet from Tada-U airbase attacked the school in Lapot village, Gangaw Township, breaking the building in half at its center, though no casualties were reported. Lapot village is located 5 miles from Gangaw town and is a village where residents frequently have to flee from military violence.
The military council aircraft flew from Tada-U airbase towards the southern part of Kani Township, crossed through Mingin Township to southern Kalay, then flew westward before circling back east to bomb the school in Lapot village. Despite the military council’s unilateral ceasefire declaration, they continue to target civilian areas, schools, and religious buildings with airstrikes. Revolutionary organizations have urged people to follow air raid protection measures due to these ongoing aerial attacks on civilian targets.
