
Two civilians were injured and temple buildings were damaged when the terrorist military conducted an airstrike on the temple compound in Sintgaing village, Wetlet Township, Sagaing Region. According to local sources, a fighter jet from Tada-U Air Force Base conducted two aerial attacks on Sintgaing village around 9:25 AM on March 20.
The first airstrike was carried out at 9:25 AM, followed by a second attack at 9:30 AM. The attacks reportedly used what are estimated to be 100-pound bombs. The airstrikes resulted in the destruction of one temple building and left two civilians with non-life-threatening injuries, as confirmed by local residents.
Local civilians are living in fear due to the terrorist military’s targeting of religious buildings and civilians. Daily airstrikes and heavy artillery attacks continue to cause loss of lives and property, leading to an increasing number of internally displaced persons. Throughout Sagaing Region, numerous villages have been destroyed by the military council’s airstrikes and arson attacks, resulting in civilian casualties and widespread destruction of property.
