According to the Pyin Oo Lwin District People’s Defense Force (PDF) information officer, the terrorist military conducted an aerial bombing raid on Pyisoe Aung Ward in Letpanhlwa Village, Sintguu Township, Mandalay Region, resulting in the death of one civilian and the destruction of three houses. The incident occurred without any ongoing battles in the area. The airstrike was carried out by a fighter jet from Tataoo on June 29 at approximately 11:50 AM. The bombing resulted in the death of a 40-year-old woman, whose body was completely destroyed, leaving only bone fragments and flesh remains.
The Pyin Oo Lwin District PDF information officer confirmed that the area is under revolutionary forces’ control and that there had been no fighting in the region. He advised local residents to remain cautious of the military council’s actions, stay away from military council-controlled areas, avoid using products made by military-owned businesses, and construct sturdy bomb shelters for protection against air raids. The official emphasized the importance of these precautionary measures for civilian safety in the face of ongoing military attacks.
Despite the military council’s announcement of a ceasefire throughout June, supposedly for earthquake relief efforts, they have continued to conduct airstrikes and ground operations across the country, particularly in areas they have lost control of, according to revolutionary forces’ statements. These deliberate attacks on innocent civilians have resulted in significant loss of life and property. The military’s actions demonstrate a clear pattern of targeting civilian areas, contradicting their own announced ceasefire and showing complete disregard for civilian safety and well-being. The revolutionary forces continue to document and report these violations, highlighting the ongoing humanitarian crisis caused by the military council’s aggressive actions against its own people.
