The military council forces conducted renewed airstrikes on villages located between Thanatpin and Kyaukkyi townships in Bago Region. The attacks, which began on the morning of March 8 and continued until evening, targeted Kyaukkyi Pauk village and surrounding areas with continuous aerial bombardment, according to local residents. These airstrikes resulted in the destruction of a monastery and civilian homes in the area.
During the attacks, local civilians were forced to flee into forests and safe areas for their survival, making it currently impossible to confirm the exact extent of damage and number of casualties. The ongoing airstrikes have created a situation where residents have had to abandon their homes and seek shelter in safer locations.
