
The terrorist military council conducted an aerial bombardment on Abay Ban village in Thilin Township, Magway Region, around 2 AM on March 20, resulting in the death of 4 innocent civilians and injuries to more than 20 others, according to local sources. Among the deceased were an elderly man, an elderly woman, and two female students, as confirmed by an official from the Thilin Township People’s Defense Force.
The air strike completely destroyed 4 houses by fire, while 12 other houses suffered severe damage. Additionally, more than 40 other homes experienced significant damage, including blown-off roofs. The attack also killed more than 10 domestic animals, including cattle and pigs, belonging to local residents, while over 20 more animals were injured in the incident.
Due to the military council’s continuous daily air strikes in the Yaw region, the Thilin People’s Defense Force has warned local residents to sleep only in areas safe from air strikes and in bomb shelters. Local civilians continue to suffer losses of lives and property due to the military council’s brutal air attacks, living their daily lives in constant fear and anxiety.
