
The terrorist military forces conducted aerial bombardments on villages in Myaing Township, Magway Region, according to confirmation from the Myaing Dawn Ming Ground News Information Group. On July 31, 2023, at approximately 12:37 PM, two military helicopters from the Pakokku Division 101 conducted bombing raids in areas between Pan Taing Taw village and Nyaung village. Although no civilians were injured in these aerial attacks, local residents have been forced to flee to safer locations due to fears of potential follow-up airstrikes.
The areas between Pan Taing Taw village and Nyaung village in southern Myaing Township were targeted by the terrorist military forces in regions where civilians reside. Additionally, in Sinphyukyun town of Magway Region, military council troops conducted artillery attacks on villages, according to local residents. On July 30, at around 3:30 PM, military council soldiers from Sinphyukyun town launched artillery attacks on areas surrounding Thikun village. While the artillery shells landed in the outskirts of the village, no civilian casualties were reported.
The artillery attacks from military council troops in Sinphyukyun resulted in two shells exploding – one north of Thikun village and another to its south. Local residents reported that these attacks occurred without any ongoing battles in the area, indicating deliberate targeting of civilian areas by military council forces. These aerial bombardments and artillery attacks have caused significant fear and anxiety among local residents, forcing many to abandon their homes and seek refuge in safer locations. The situation has created a humanitarian crisis as civilians continue to face the threat of indiscriminate attacks from the military council forces.
