
According to a statement from an official of the Thaung Tha Township Public Movement Committee, an aerial bombardment by the military council forces on Zaratgyi and Thanpinkan villages in Thaung Tha Township, Mandalay Region, resulted in one civilian being injured and seven houses being destroyed. The aerial attack occurred around 2:45 AM on May 5, carried out by three military helicopters from the Meiktila Air Force Base.
The attack took place while villagers were asleep, causing them to flee in panic to safety. The aerial bombardment resulted in the destruction of seven houses, with one villager sustaining injuries and a cow also being wounded, according to local residents. Local sources report that the military council forces are deliberately targeting civilian populations, conducting continuous aerial attacks with the intention of causing harm to innocent civilians.
