Ko Ba Kaung from Yaw Alinn Tan has confirmed to Yangon Modern News Agency that the terrorist military conducted aerial attacks with two aircraft in Kyauk Htu Township area of Saw District, Magway Region. Around 10:50 PM on May 1, a Yak-130 jet fighter from Tatmadaw Air Base and a MIG-29 fighter jet from Meiktila’s Shan Tae Lay Air Base conducted airstrikes within the Kyauk Htu township area.
While there were no civilian casualties reported from the aerial attacks, communication systems have been disrupted, making it difficult to gather and distribute information in the region, according to Ko Ba Kaung. Currently, the military council forces have cut off communications throughout the Yaw region and are conducting daily aerial attacks continuously.
Revolutionary forces have strongly urged local residents to follow air raid defense guidelines and prepare bomb shelters in advance to protect themselves from aerial attacks. The revolutionary groups have declared that the military council’s aerial attacks constitute war crimes against civilians and violate international law. The attacks are part of the military’s ongoing campaign of violence against its own people, demonstrating their continued disregard for civilian safety and international humanitarian standards.
