Revolutionary forces responded to the aerial assault using G3 weapons, targeting the helicopters as they descended for bombing runs, though no hits were recorded. Local residents believe this attack represents a deliberate targeting of civilian areas by military council forces, continuing their pattern of aggression against non-military targets.
Previously in June, the same village had been subjected to drone attacks by military council forces, and the nearby village of Peinnet Pin was completely burned down.
