
A significant number of military council troops suffered injuries following two consecutive days of attacks by revolutionary forces while inspecting power poles connected to Power Plant 21 in Salin Township, Magway Region, according to a spokesperson from the Salin Township People’s Defense Force.
On February 25 at around 7:00 AM, military council forces arrived at Ma Kyee Sin village in Tanaung Taik area of Salin Township from Seikphyu, using five large military trucks and two smaller vehicles. They were conducting inspections of electrical poles connected to Power Plant 21 when revolutionary forces launched their attack at approximately 8:30 AM. The offensive was led by Salin PDF Zone-3 along with other allied resistance groups.
The resistance forces employed heavy weapons and drones in their attacks, along with strategic ambushes using landmines. These coordinated attacks resulted in at least seven military council troops suffering severe injuries, with many others also wounded. The fighting continued for two days until the military council forces eventually retreated toward Seikphyu on February 27 at approximately 8:42 AM.
The operation involved multiple resistance groups working in coordination, including Salin Township PDF, Zone-3 PDF, Minbu District Battalion 1, Daung Sit Aung PDF, Magway District Battalion 2, Magway PDF, and the Magway Division Drone Strike Force. According to battle reports, the revolutionary forces’ strategic approach to the engagement resulted in significant casualties and losses for the military council troops. The successful coordination between various resistance groups demonstrated their growing tactical capabilities in confronting military council forces in the region.
