
Multiple casualties were reported among military council forces following a two-day attack by revolutionary forces in Salin Township, Magway Region, where troops had been inspecting electrical poles connected to Military Council Base 21. According to a responsible official from the Salin Township People’s Defense Force, the incidents began on February 25 at approximately 7:00 AM when military council forces arrived in Ma Kyee Sin village, Tanaung Daik area, using five large military trucks and two smaller vehicles from the direction of Seikphyu.
The revolutionary forces, including Zone-3 of the Salin PDF and allied groups, launched their attack at around 8:30 AM as the military council troops were conducting inspections of electrical poles. The resistance forces employed heavy weapons, drones, and conducted ambush operations using mines during the two-day engagement. The attacks resulted in at least seven military council troops suffering severe injuries, with numerous others also reported wounded. The operations were carried out through coordinated efforts of multiple resistance groups, including Salin Township PDF, Zone-3 PDF, Minbu District Battalion 1, Daung Sit Aung PDF, Magway District Battalion 2, Magway PDF, and the Magway Division Drone Strike Force.
After two days of intense fighting, the military council forces retreated toward Seikphyu town at approximately 8:42 AM on February 27. The coordinated attacks demonstrated the growing capabilities of resistance forces in the region and their ability to conduct sustained operations against military council targets. The incident highlighted the ongoing conflict between revolutionary forces and the military council in the Magway Region, where resistance groups continue to challenge military control over local infrastructure and territory.
