
A spokesperson from the BTZM GBK PDF Bago Yoma-based force has confirmed that seven military council soldiers were killed during clashes with resistance forces in Zeyakone Township, Bago Region. The confrontation occurred when revolutionary forces intercepted military council troops who were conducting operations in the eastern part of Zeyakone Township, near Tamangyi, Dawkyaw, and Yetayshay villages, at approximately 11:00 AM on July 22.
During the engagement, thirteen military council soldiers sustained gunshot wounds, with seven of them suffering fatal injuries at the scene. Following the battle, military council forces retreated from the area while retrieving their deceased personnel. Local resistance officials have reported that military tensions in the region have escalated, with increasingly intense confrontations expected. They have issued warnings to local civilians to avoid close proximity to military council troops and to exercise extreme caution in their daily movements.
The operation was jointly conducted by Battalion 3801 Division 3 Nat Warriors and BTZM GBK PDF Bago Yoma-based forces, during which two resistance fighters sustained injuries. Resistance forces continue to maintain close surveillance of military council movements in the area and have stated their readiness to engage in further defensive operations when necessary. They have reiterated their advisory to local residents to remain vigilant and maintain heightened awareness of military activities while going about their daily lives, emphasizing the importance of civilian safety during this period of increased military activity in the region.
