
The Southern Shan-Karenni Military Command-11 has reported that revolutionary forces successfully attacked a military council base in Ngwe Taung Village, Demoso Township, Karenni State, resulting in 15 military casualties and the capture of 6 weapons. The attack, which took place on August 29th from 10 AM to 3 PM, targeted approximately 100 military council troops stationed in the area. The operation was jointly conducted by the Southern Shan-Karenni Military Command-11 and allied resistance forces from Karenni State. During the battle, in addition to the 15 fatalities, over 30 military council troops were reported wounded.
The resistance forces successfully seized various weapons from the military council, including four MA-1 rifles, one MA-2 rifle, and one MA-3 rifle, along with ammunition. The operation involved coordinated efforts from multiple resistance groups, including the Southern Shan-Karenni Military Command-11, Southern Shan Drone Force, Strategy-11 Drone Force, DMO Local Drone Force, UAV Drone Force, and KNA Drone Force. The resistance forces reported only two minor injuries among their fighters during the operation.
The revolutionary forces stated that their unified approach and coordinated attack effectively disrupted the military council’s troop movement from Demoso to Pruso. This battle has been highlighted as a significant engagement that demonstrated the military capabilities and unity of the resistance forces. The successful operation showcased the effectiveness of joint resistance operations against military council forces in the region, marking an important tactical victory for the revolutionary forces in their ongoing struggle against the military council’s presence in Karenni State.
