The military council has prohibited the transportation of nearly all goods, including solar equipment, medicine, consumer goods, food supplies, and fuel to Bago, Mon, Karen, Tanintharyi, Chin, Sagaing Region, Northern Shan, and Karenni States. Domestic parcel and express delivery services have been officially warned that if they transport weapons, ammunition, or restricted goods, they will face business license revocation and legal action under multiple laws, including the Counter-Terrorism Law.
For domestic parcel and express delivery services, the military council has imposed weight restrictions limiting parcels to three kilograms for inter-township deliveries and ten kilograms for intra-city deliveries. Additionally, all cargo transportation through highway express bus terminals has been temporarily suspended due to regulations imposed by the military council. Particularly, items such as medicine, consumer goods, solar equipment, electrical appliances, and feminine hygiene products have been designated as restricted goods and are no longer accepted by highway express terminals.
Due to increased scrutiny at checkpoints, only personally accompanied cargo is now being accepted. All domestic parcel and express delivery services, passenger vehicle lines, and cargo trucks must submit to inspections by the military, police, and General Administration Department at any time, and mandatory cooperation with these inspections has been ordered by the military council. These restrictions have severely impacted the transportation of essential goods to various regions of the country, particularly affecting areas where conflict and resistance to military rule are ongoing.
