A resistance force successfully carried out an attack on a military council patrol vehicle near the Township Commander’s Office in Mingaladon Township, Yangon. According to a representative from Operation Flame who spoke to Yangon Modern News Agency, the attack resulted in casualties among military council troops. The incident occurred around 7:30 PM on April 7th when the military patrol vehicle was entering their designated territory area. Operation Flame resistance fighters executed the attack using a remote-controlled mine.
While the exact number of casualties among military council troops could not be immediately confirmed, the resistance fighters were able to safely withdraw from the area following the attack. A spokesperson from Operation Flame detailed that the operation specifically targeted the patrol vehicle’s entry point using precision timing with the remote-controlled mine. Only one mine was detonated, but it successfully hit its intended target. The resistance fighters had to quickly retreat as military reinforcements arrived at the scene immediately after the explosion.
Operation Flame has stated that they will continue to escalate their offensive operations against the military council forces in coordination with other revolutionary allies in Yangon. This attack represents part of their ongoing campaign to resist military rule and protect civilians. The resistance group maintains systematic surveillance of military council movements in the area and plans to continue conducting effective strikes against military targets. The incident demonstrates the growing capabilities of urban resistance forces in Yangon and their commitment to coordinated action against the military council’s presence in civilian areas.
