The commander of the Ye Bilu Group has confirmed that military council troops fled without resistance when their outposts near Ayu Mountain Village in Ye Township, Mon State, were attacked. The incident occurred on June 8, when the military council forces abandoned their positions without engaging in any defensive operations when confronted by the Ye Bilu Group. The commander further noted that the military council’s troops have significantly reduced their movements outside their bases in recent times.
As a result of the Ye Bilu Group’s offensive operations, the military council was forced to abandon five outposts, including the Ayu Mountain Top Sawmill post, Ayu Village Bamboo Monastery post, Konduu Village Pagoda Hill post, and the Phawtaw Village Betel Forest post. This represents a significant victory for local civilians and demonstrates the weakening control of the military council in the region.
