In Seimingone city of Myingyan District, Mandalay Region, a military officer and two Pyu Saw Htee members were killed in a clash with resistance forces. The incident occurred on April 30th in the evening, during which two weapons and ammunition were also seized, as confirmed by the Myingyan Black Tiger (MBT) force. The People’s Defense Force conducted a guerrilla operation against military council troops who were patrolling within Seimingone city.
During the engagement, two G3 rifles and 18 rounds of ammunition were captured. However, one M3 weapon could not be retrieved due to the challenges of operating within the urban environment, as explained by Colonel Mike Khae, the leader of the MBT force. Although there was some exchange of fire during the clash, the People’s Defense Force members were able to withdraw successfully without any casualties. The operation demonstrated the increasing capability of resistance forces to conduct urban operations against military council targets.
The MBT force has announced that they will be expanding their urban operations beyond previous levels, and have warned civilians to avoid areas where military council forces are present. The resistance group emphasizes that they take special care to avoid civilian casualties during their urban operations and maintain close surveillance of military council movements. This successful operation represents a significant achievement in the resistance’s ongoing efforts to challenge military council control in urban areas, while simultaneously working to protect civilian populations from potential harm during such operations.
