
On May 20, military council leader Min Aung Hlaing made statements regarding the National League for Democracy (NLD) government. Most recently, they successfully captured the Mor Pho Kay military outpost after just hours of fighting, gaining complete control of the facility. This success was confirmed by the Karen National Union (KNU) and demonstrates the KNLA and allied forces’ military superiority in the border region. This latest capture adds to a string of successful operations by resistance forces in the area, significantly weakening the military council’s control over border territories.
Regarding the deaths of 10 People’s Defense Force (PDF) members near Tamu city on the India-Myanmar border, the National Unity Government (NUG) is actively engaging with the Indian government. The NUG’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that they are working closely with Indian authorities to investigate the incident and uncover the truth.
