Among those who escaped, two have reached the People’s Defense Force in Myeik region seeking refuge. This incident serves as another example of the military council’s forced conscription of young people into military service. The situation highlights the ongoing practice of the military council forcing civilians into military service against their will, leading many to risk their lives to escape such oppression.
