The terrorist military council has conducted aerial bombardments in the Kyauk Htu area of Saw Township, Gangaw District, Magway Region, according to local sources and revolutionary organizations. On May 9, a Y-12 aircraft from the military council’s Tatmadaw Air Base conducted bombing raids from 6:20 AM to 6:30 AM, dropping at least 12 bombs during the ten-minute attack, as confirmed by a representative from the Yaw Alinn Tan organization.
While the exact extent of damage to civilian lives and properties from the bombing remains unclear, revolutionary forces report that the military council continues to conduct daily aerial attacks. They warn that local residents must remain vigilant against these air strikes. The revolutionary forces particularly emphasize that the military council is targeting civilian villages with aerial attacks despite the absence of any active fighting or military operations in these areas.
Although the military council announced a nationwide ceasefire from May 6 to May 31, in reality, they continue to conduct military operations across the country, including troop deployments, aerial bombings, artillery strikes, and drone attacks. As a result, revolutionary organizations have advised civilians to follow air raid protection measures and dig bomb shelters at every household. The ongoing attacks demonstrate that the military council’s announced ceasefire has not translated into any actual reduction in violence against civilian populations, with continued aggressive military actions being reported throughout the country.
