The Information and Communication Officer of the YRA Thilin Force has confirmed that military council troops suffered casualties when resistance forces conducted a drone strike on a military council guard post and sentry position in Thilin town, Magway Region. The attack occurred around 10:30 AM on July 6, when revolutionary forces deployed two drones to drop four bombs on the military council’s guard post and sentry positions. The bombs reportedly hit their intended targets where military council troops were stationed, though the exact number of casualties could not be immediately verified according to officials.
The operation was jointly carried out by YRA battalions from Gangaw District Battalions 15, 16, and 17, with all resistance fighters safely withdrawing after the successful attack. The Information and Communication Officer of the YRA Thilin Force further confirmed that there was no retaliatory fire from the military council forces during the operation, allowing the resistance forces to successfully execute their mission. These types of attacks demonstrate the increasing military capabilities of resistance forces within areas under military council control.
