Revolutionary forces conducted successful drone strikes against military council troops stationed in Shwe Bon Tha Pyu Saw Htee village in Pauk Township, Magway Region, resulting in casualties among the military forces. According to Comrade Khat Wa, Information and Communications Officer of the Phoenix Guerrilla Force, the attacks were carried out over two consecutive days on April 24 and 25.
The resistance forces deployed eight drones to target military bunkers and outposts established by the military council in the village. Shwe Bon Tha Pyu village serves as a strategic location for Military Operations Command-24, functioning as a crucial support and artillery base for military council operations. The location’s strategic importance stems from its role in providing logistical support and artillery coverage for nearby military installations.
Following the drone attacks, military council forces retaliated with 81mm artillery fire, but resistance fighters successfully withdrew from the area without sustaining any casualties. While the exact number of military council casualties could not be immediately confirmed, significant impacts were reported from the strikes. The resistance forces have stated their commitment to continuing their operations against military council positions using whatever means are available to them, maintaining their strategic pressure on the occupying forces.
