Members of the Wolf Guerrilla LPDF Ye-U Air Force have confirmed that military council forces suffered casualties following two separate mine attacks on their patrol units in the Mangunsaung Ward of Ye-U Town, Sagaing Region. On June 30th at approximately 5:00 AM, a team led by Bo Hmutkajo from the Wolf Guerrilla LPDF conducted an operation at a local school entrance, where they posted anti-military education system messages before detonating an explosive device. This attack was intended as a warning against the military council’s educational operations in the area.
Later that evening around 7:00 PM, following directives from Bo Hmutkajo, the Wolf Guerrilla team launched another attack targeting approximately 30 military council troops who were patrolling near ancient pagodas in Mangunsaung Ward. The attack resulted in injuries to four military council soldiers, with an unconfirmed number of fatalities. The resistance fighters were able to withdraw safely from the area without sustaining any casualties. In response to these attacks, military council forces have been conducting forceful searches of civilian homes in the surrounding area.
Following the morning explosion, military council forces deployed one armored vehicle and two smaller vehicles to the school area in Mangunsaung Ward, maintaining a heavy security presence while conducting mine sweeping operations. Representatives from the Wolf Guerrilla LPDF Ye-U Air Force have advised local residents to remain vigilant, as they plan to conduct more intensive operations within the town in the future. The military council’s response has included increased security measures and extensive searches throughout the affected areas, particularly focusing on the locations where the explosions occurred. The resistance group maintains its commitment to disrupting military council operations while emphasizing the importance of civilian safety during their tactical operations.
