
A military naval convoy came under attack in Kyunsu Township, Tanintharyi Region, resulting in casualties among the military council forces, according to a spokesperson from the Kyunsu Township People’s Defense Force. The incident occurred on March 13 around 7 PM when revolutionary forces engaged with a military convoy of approximately 60 personnel traveling by naval vessels from Myintwei and Shawtawmaw villages near Wantaung village in Kyunsu Township.
The brief engagement resulted in reported casualties on the military council side, while revolutionary forces were able to withdraw successfully without any injuries. The spokesperson from the Kyunsu Township People’s Defense Force indicated that while the naval vessels were armored, they likely sustained damage during the attack. Though the exact casualty count could not be immediately verified due to the naval nature of the engagement, the spokesperson confirmed that impacts were observed on the military vessels.
In a separate incident in Sagaing Region’s Chaung-U Township, resistance forces conducted a mine attack against military council troops. The incident occurred around 12:30 AM on March 15, when approximately 150 military council personnel leaving from Kanmonhtaw Pyusawthi village were targeted by the Burma Liberation Democratic Front (BLDF) Anya Mine Battalion Region 3 on the western outskirts of Chaung-U town. The attack, which involved two mines, resulted in the confirmed death of one military council soldier. These attacks represent ongoing resistance operations against military council forces across multiple regions of Myanmar, as confirmed by revolutionary forces continuing their opposition to the military council’s control.
