The resistance forces successfully attacked and drove out military council troops stationed in Kyoe Ko Pin village, Htone Bo Township, Bago Region, according to Comrade Thitsa, the military affairs officer for Thayarwaddy District. While there were reported casualties among the military council troops, the exact numbers could not be immediately confirmed.
During the offensive, the resistance forces managed to capture various weapons, ammunition, and military equipment from the retreating military council soldiers. The operation was jointly carried out by PDF Strike Force No. 1 Column 1 Shwetan Myay, Column 3 Moe Nyo People’s Defense Force, and Zeekon People’s Defense Force of Thayarwaddy District. This coordinated attack demonstrated the growing capabilities and cooperation between various resistance groups in the region.
Earlier that same morning, resistance forces had already launched a second attack against military council troops who were burning buildings in Kyoe Ko Pin village. In that earlier engagement, at least 20 military council soldiers were confirmed killed. This latest operation marked the third attack on the village, as resistance forces continue their efforts to counter the military council’s acts of violence against local civilians. The repeated attacks reflect the resistance’s determination to protect civilian populations from the military council’s ongoing campaign of terror and destruction in the region.
