According to a representative from the Anyar Region Allied Forces, military council supply convoy forces are systematically burning civilian homes in Pauk Township, Magway Region, while airstrikes have resulted in the deaths of two innocent civilians. On August 20 at 9:00 AM, military council forces, together with Pyu Saw Htee members from Yakyi Pyin village, raided Yeyaung village and deliberately set fire to 31 residential homes.
After burning Yeyaung village, the military council forces advanced to Pauk town and later departed on August 22. As of August 25, the forces were positioned between Pauk town and Hpyar village, where they proceeded to raid and burn Paychet Pin village. This attack has forced all villagers to flee, and the exact extent of destruction has yet to be determined according to the Anyar Region Allied Forces. The military council forces have been systematically burning villages along their supply route to Pauk town and are now heading in the direction of Myaing, Kammar, and Pakokku after departing from Pauk.
Additionally, on August 22, the military council forces conducted an unprovoked airstrike on Saywa village in Pauk Township using two fighter jets, despite there being no active fighting in the area. This attack resulted in the deaths of two civilians and left six others injured, according to confirmed reports. The systematic destruction of civilian infrastructure and unprovoked attacks on villages demonstrate the military council’s continued campaign of violence against civilian populations in the region.
