
Military council forces from Strategic Command Post 24 in Pauk Township, Magway Region, have been reported to be entering and burning local oil fields and villages. On August 31st at around 11 AM, a military column including three supply trucks departed from Strategic Command Post 24 heading towards Ziphyarpyu village. The column moved northward through Thanpinchaung village and their advance forces reached Yeiphyu village.
The remaining soldiers at Thanpinchaung village entered the new oil field area north of the village, where they forcibly extracted oil from the wells and burned down the shelters of oil field workers. Additionally, military council troops stationed in Magyikhon village have burned down one civilian house. Local sources report that the military forces have spread out across the area, establishing positions in close proximity to each other while conducting raids on villages.
