
A military convoy consisting of two vehicles was attacked with mines in Shwebo Township, Sagaing Region, while attempting to reinforce their positions, according to a TGYR official. The incident occurred around 9:52 PM on May 19, when the military council forces were traveling from Gwekun military outpost to the western Myothit Industrial Bank. The attack took place near the eastern side of Myothit Industrial roundabout, where two large barrel mines were used against the military vehicles.
While there were reported casualties on the military council’s side, the exact number could not be immediately confirmed. The revolutionary forces who carried out the attack were able to safely withdraw from the area without any casualties. This operation was considered a significant success for the local resistance movement and the security of civilian populations in the area.
Simultaneously, another engagement took place in Myingyan Township, Mandalay Region, specifically in Sonevillage Pyusawthi village. Around 11:00 AM on May 19, combined resistance forces including the 925 Guerrilla Force and their allies launched an attack using Fixed Wings (Drones) and 80mm heavy weapons against military council troops and Pyusawthi positions at their sentry posts. This attack resulted in the confirmed deaths of three military council soldiers, with additional casualties reported.
The coordinated attack involved multiple resistance groups, including the 925 Guerrilla Force (Ngazun), Ngazun Township PDF, Ayeyarwady Python Guerrilla Force, Fight For Freedom Dawn Group, Mandalay District Battalion 5, Border Guard Artillery Force (Ngazun), Myingyan Northern Guerrilla Force (MNGF), and the Zinyaw Ni Guerrilla Force. This unified operation demonstrated the strength of the revolutionary movement and represented an important step in the struggle against the military dictatorship, according to resistance forces.
