The military council is deploying new military service graduates who have completed high school education to drone units and mechanized parachute units, according to relatives of soldiers assigned to these units. The council continues to recruit young people aged 18 to 35 monthly, forcibly conscripting individuals of various ages through porter duties and summons. Among these recruits, those who have completed high school are specifically being assigned to drone units and mechanized parachute unit groups.
The mother of a new soldier from Military Training Course Batch 9 reported that her son was sent to the drone unit at the Northwestern Command Headquarters in Monywa because he had completed high school education. She mentioned that some of his fellow recruits were also sent for mechanized parachute training. In the drone units, recruits primarily receive training in drone operation. Additionally, the military council is sending new soldiers to defense products factories, where they are trained as armed unit members and employed in basic weapons production operations.
Sources within the military have confirmed that hundreds of new soldiers who graduated from Military Training Course Batch 10 on May 5 have been deployed to security duties and patrol operations at defense products factories in Pantaung Township, Bago Region. The military council continues to utilize new recruits in various military operations while maintaining its practice of forced recruitment for military service. This systematic deployment of educated recruits to specialized units demonstrates the council’s strategy of maximizing the use of conscripted personnel across different military sectors, despite the ongoing resistance against such forced military service practices.
