
A military council convoy was ambushed near the Pauk-Seikphyu road in Pauk Township, Magway Region, resulting in the death of 10 soldiers and the seizure of weapons and ammunition, according to an official from the Pakokku District PDF. The clash occurred around 2 PM on August 25 near Tay Pin Kan village, south of Pauk Township, along the Pauk-Seikphyu road section.
The battle involved revolutionary forces attacking a military convoy from Infantry Battalion 254, which consisted of approximately 80 personnel. The engagement lasted for one and a half hours, during which 10 military council soldiers were killed and 15 others were wounded. On the revolutionary forces’ side, two members from Pakokku District Battalions 4 and 14 were killed, and one member from Battalion 12 was injured.
The operation was jointly carried out by multiple revolutionary forces, including Pakokku District PDF Mobile Unit (3), Pakokku District Military Command Column (4), Pakokku District Battalions 5, 12, and 14, along with PDF forces from Pauk and Myaing Townships. Officials confirmed that weapons and ammunition were captured from the military council forces during the engagement. The coordinated attack demonstrated the continued resistance against the military council’s forces in the region.
