A district People’s Defense Force (PDF) official has confirmed that the military council conducted two aerial bombing attacks in Sagaing Region’s Sadaung Gyi Township. The attacks occurred around 12:40 PM on April 3rd near Seven Mile Village in Sadaung Gyi Township. According to reports, while the military conducted two separate aerial bombardments, no civilian casualties were reported from these attacks. The district PDF official verified that despite the two aerial assaults, the local population remained unharmed during these military operations.
Additionally, several villages in Rakhine State’s Sittwe and Kyaukphyu Townships were subjected to aerial attacks, artillery shelling, and bombing raids by the military council forces, according to local sources. On April 3rd, at approximately 5:00 PM, the military conducted unprovoked attacks on villages along the Yangon-Kyaukphyu highway, including Kulabataw Village, Zainchaung Village, and Thaingchaung Village, using fighter jets, drones, and heavy artillery, despite the absence of any active fighting in these areas. The attacks were particularly intense, with multiple types of military hardware being deployed against civilian areas.
The military council’s Battalion 32, positioned at Doetantuang in Kyaukphyu Township, along with other military installations, continued to launch artillery strikes in the region. The area around Gonchon Village was specifically targeted with more than thirty drone-delivered bombs around 11:00 AM on the same day, followed by sustained artillery bombardment. Similarly, in Sittwe, the military council’s Battalion 354 conducted artillery strikes, though no ground battles were reported in the area. These attacks represent a pattern of military aggression against civilian areas, with the armed forces employing various weapons systems including aircraft, drones, and artillery, often in areas where there was no active conflict or military engagement with resistance forces.
