The military council conducted aerial bombardments on Kyauk Tine village in Myingyan Township, Mandalay Region, in the early hours of July 6, according to local residents. The attack occurred around 1 AM when military aircraft dropped four bombs on the village without any ongoing conflict in the area. The extent of civilian casualties from this attack remains unconfirmed at present.
Simultaneously, aerial attacks were also reported in the Kawlin District of Sagaing Region. According to a statement from the Kawlin Revolution (KR), the military council targeted Ywa Kon Gyi village in western Kawlin Township and areas along the border between Kawlin and Khin-U townships. At approximately 6:30 AM on July 6, a fighter jet from the Tada-U Air Base conducted unprovoked bombing raids on Ywa Kon Gyi village, despite the absence of any ground fighting or military operations in the area.
Following the initial attack, the military aircraft continued its operation, flying toward the border area between Kawlin and Khin-U townships, where it conducted another bombing raid at 6:35 AM. Authorities are still investigating the extent of civilian casualties and property damage resulting from these aerial attacks. The military council has been consistently targeting civilian areas with airstrikes, causing significant concern among local populations and resistance groups.
In response to these frequent aerial attacks on civilian populations, revolutionary organizations have urged local residents to take necessary precautions against air raids. They specifically recommend following air raid defense guidelines and constructing sturdy bomb shelters. The increasing frequency of these brutal aerial attacks by the military council has made it crucial for civilians to remain vigilant and take protective measures to prevent casualties among innocent civilians. These attacks represent a continuing pattern of the military council’s use of disproportionate force against civilian populations, highlighting the ongoing crisis in these regions.
