According to Ko Yo Man, the Information Officer of the People’s Administration Group in Mindat Township, Chin State, the terrorist military has conducted consecutive aerial bombings using 500-pound bombs on Mindat town for two consecutive days. The attacks began on the evening and night of April 1 and continued into the afternoon of April 2. Mindat town is a military council-free zone with no ongoing battles, yet it has been subjected to these aerial attacks.
During the attacks, the military council forces dropped two bombs per strike, with two strikes occurring within minutes of each other during each attack session. The attacks were carried out at 6:30 PM and 10:30 PM on April 1, with additional attacks occurring at 1:30 PM on April 2. While the attacks resulted in damage to buildings, fortunately, no civilian casualties were reported. The attacks have been particularly concerning as they targeted a civilian area with no military presence or conflict.
Additionally, on the same day at 2:10 PM, a fighter jet from Meiktila’s Shan Tae Airport conducted bombing raids on Kanpetlet town in Chin State. On April 2, approximately 10 military aircraft, including fighter jets from Meiktila Air Base, were observed taking off and landing, while fighter jets from Magway Air Base were also continuously flying. According to air force reconnaissance teams, these aerial attacks clearly demonstrate the military council’s deliberate targeting of civilian-populated areas. The continuous nature of these attacks, despite the absence of any military targets or ongoing conflicts in the area, highlights the military council’s aggressive actions against civilian populations.
