A spokesperson from the Bagan Bylu Force has confirmed that five military council-appointed administrators and military collaborators were shot and killed in Nyaung-U Township, Mandalay Region. The incidents occurred between April 17 and April 19, targeting individuals working for the military council. The operations were carried out by revolutionary forces against those actively supporting the military council’s administration.
On the evening of April 19, revolutionary forces entered Ywa Pu Le village in Nyaung-U Township and shot village administrator Kyaw Maung Kyaw and ten-household leader Naing Lin Sein, both appointed by the military council. Similarly, on April 18 around 8 PM, Myay Ni village administrator Ye Tint and his son-in-law Zaw Min Htay (aka Sa Mun) were targeted by revolutionary forces. On April 17 around 8 PM, military council-appointed administrator Ye Htun from Myay Thin Win village was also eliminated by revolutionary forces.
The targeted individuals were reportedly involved in implementing oppressive measures against local civilians under military council orders. They were known for extorting money from civilians under the guise of military service fees, forcibly recruiting young people into the military, and intimidating local residents. According to local sources, these administrators played key roles in executing the military council’s unjust orders in their respective areas, actively participating in the oppression of civilians and supporting the military council’s forced recruitment efforts.
