Earlier that same day, in Sae village of Nga Tharauk township, 59-year-old Soe Lwin, who was both a member of the Union Solidarity and Development Party (USDP) and the Pyu Saw Htee group, was also killed when an unidentified group entered his residence and opened fire. According to local sources, the identity of the groups responsible for these attacks remains unknown. In both cases, the attackers used firearms and directly targeted the victims in their homes.
