
On the morning of September 3rd, revolutionary forces conducted a mine attack against a military column in Paungde Township, Bago Region, resulting in multiple military casualties and injuries. The incident was detailed by Private Shadow, the intelligence and information officer of Battalion 3601.
According to reports, the incident occurred around 9:40 AM when revolutionary forces targeted a military column consisting of 92 soldiers between Kyaukgyitaung and Nyaungbinpin villages in Nyaungbinpin village tract, Paungde Township. The attack began with the detonation of eight Padamya mines, followed by sniper fire and small arms engagement. The assault resulted in the immediate death of six military personnel and left five others severely wounded.
Following the engagement, the military transported their dead and wounded using stretchers to the Kyaukgyitaung military outpost. From there, they were transferred via two vehicles to the 100-bed military hospital in Shwetaung town. In apparent retaliation for their losses, the military launched an aerial attack at approximately 3:30 PM the same day, using two mechanized aircraft from the Bolyonkun base in Shwetaung Township to drop six bombs on Letpankhaung and Taungchamauk villages in Paungde Township.
The operation was confirmed to be a joint effort by forces under Strategy 21 Command, including Company 1 and Company 2 of Battalion 3601, along with the Battalion 3601 Sniper team. This incident demonstrates the increasing strength of revolutionary activities in the region and ongoing challenges to military control. The attack represents a significant operation by resistance forces, highlighting their continued capacity to conduct coordinated military actions against regime forces in the area.
