
The terrorist military forces conducted another airstrike using a Y-12 aircraft, dropping 55 bombs on oil fields located along the border of Pauk and Myaing townships in Magway Region. The attack occurred on September 18 at approximately 2:30 PM when a Y-12 aircraft from Meiktila Air Base conducted twelve bombing runs over the oil field areas. While the extent of civilian casualties from the aerial bombardment remains unconfirmed, local residents have been forced to flee to safety.
The military forces had also carried out consecutive airstrikes on the same oil fields on September 16 and 17, using armed drones. These previous attacks resulted in one civilian death and several injuries. Local sources confirmed that the three days of continuous attacks included the use of armed drones alongside conventional aircraft. The repeated targeting of civilian infrastructure has caused significant disruption to local communities and their livelihoods.
Simultaneously, military forces have launched an offensive in the border area between Mattaya Township in Mandalay Region and Wetlet Township in Sagaing Region. A military column arriving on three motorboats entered Tayar (Lower) village and began setting fire to residential homes. Local civilians have been forced to evacuate, and the full extent of casualties and property damage remains unknown at this time. The military’s brutal actions continue to devastate the daily lives of local residents, forcing them to abandon their homes and livelihoods in search of safety.
