The leader of Myingyan Black Tiger (MBT) forces, Colonel Mike Khae, confirmed that their troops successfully attacked a military patrol near Myingyan city in Mandalay Region, resulting in five casualties among military forces. The incident occurred on August 12, when the military had deployed approximately 300 troops divided into three columns advancing near Myingyan city.
According to reports, two MBT fighters conducted a close-range attack, approaching within 30 meters of the military patrol position. During the engagement, five military soldiers were killed and two others were severely wounded. However, the resistance forces were unable to capture any weapons or ammunition during the operation. The MBT leader explained that their forces are currently employing guerrilla warfare tactics due to ammunition shortages they are experiencing.
While the MBT forces have had to withdraw from some territories due to insufficient ammunition supplies, they continue to maintain their resistance through guerrilla warfare tactics. The two fighters who conducted the close-range attack will be awarded special commendations from MBT headquarters for their bravery. Colonel Mike Khae explained that since they do not have weapons or ammunition factories, they rely entirely on public donations to purchase their military supplies. He stated that they will continue to do their best to counter the incoming military columns with the help of allied forces, and appealed to the public for support in funding much-needed ammunition purchases. The MBT forces remain committed to their resistance despite facing significant logistical challenges in their fight against the military forces.
